Mark Baratz, MD, is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Pittsburgh and Director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship. Dr. Baratz is Past-President of the American Association of Hand Surgery. He is currently President Elect of the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Baratz has over 100 published articles, over 30 book chapters and textbooks and nearly 600 National and International presentations. He specializes in the care of elite athletes, arthroscopy and arthroplasty of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, care of arthritis and conditions affecting nerves and blood vessels. He is the recipient of the “Lean and Green Award” from the American Association for Hand Surgery, the “David P. Green Mentorship Award” by the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the “He for She” award by the Ruth Jackson Orthopedic Society.
